The following is the round 6 summary from the weekly footy guide (R7)

Coming into our bye week our senior football team would have certainly wanted to be in a better position than 1-5, upon reflection it should have quite easily been 4-2, a couple of fade outs late in game’s has cost us the win on more than one occasion and this unfortunately happened again against Ouyen. 3 points up going into the final term Ouyen hit the scoreboard with a major in the first 15 seconds of the last, straight away the boys were on the defensive. Manufacturing a way forward to score seemed to dry up and the curtain fell with the margin being 19 points. With that said and only 2 other sides left to face before we turn the corner into the back half of the season the boys will be without a shadow of a doubt wanting to be on the winning side of the ledger to stay in touch with the top pace setters after our week off…………a week off, I don’t think so………the work rate will increase and the continued development and fine tuning required to see this side finish out games won’t stop as they build up for an even tougher 2nd half of the season.

Our A-Grade Netball ladies have locked away another win with a close game against a more than capable Ouyen outfit by 1 goal. Always a great game to watch these two sides go at it hard on the court and also off the court. With the Ouyen Ladies Day tent getting into full swing later in the afternoon, and with our South ladies in attendance had a fantastic day. Win, lose or draw, we thank you for your hospitality on the day.

Other results during the day saw wins going either way across all grades, notably the U14 Football match was very lopsided early on with the Ouyen lads doing all the attacking and had our boys on the ropes at half time, but to our boys credit they clawed their way back to win the game with an outstanding 6 goal to nothing 2nd half, well done boys.

Again, another tough week in certain areas but this club will always stick fat through thick and thin, opportunities come and go and results will never always be the way we would like, the road ahead is clear and Bulldog Train is building………If you’re a Bulldog supporter become a member today…..A general membership will get you into all home games and a complimentary drink upon you producing your membership card, sign up at SportsTG or on a Thursday night at the Social rooms……Get down to the Kennel.
